From Sydney’s outskirts to South Coast working towns and holiday spots, the Curran team has found the best coffee shops on the South Coast.
Here’s our list in order of their location from Thirroul to Berry:
1. Finbox, Thirroul
Curran ’s Josh W loves a latte with shot and he rates the White Horse Coffee from Finbox in Thirroul.
2. Seven Miles Coffee Roaster, North Wollongong
Award-winning cafe Seven Miles Coffee Roaster is dedicated to making coffees where” art meets science”, and Curran ’s Joel highly recommends the Long Black Latte.
3. Lee & Me, Wollongong
Joel also rates the latte offerings at Lee & Me, a community spirited café in the heart of Wollongong.
4. Towradji Beach Eatery, Towradji
Located in Wollongong’s seaside suburbs Towradji Beach Eatery serves coffee with ocean views. Martha from Curran recommends everything from their ice or hot lattes to mochas and expresso shots.
5. Woolshed Kitchen by Fine Spun, Yallah
Heading out of Wollongong city on the Princes Highway, Woolshed Kitchen at Yallah features an historic woolshed offering meals complemented with great coffee. Josh A. from Curran likes their cappuccino and shot.
6. The Happy Fox, Warilla
If you have business near Port Kembla or take the scenic coastal Windang Road, The Happy Fox at Warilla can provide your coffee. Jack from Curran votes for a long black and shot.
7. Three Flamingos, Shellharbour
En route to Shellharbour on the coast or travelling further south on the highway or train line, stop at Albion Park to grab a coffee at the Three Flamingos, and you might meet some regulars who are from the Curran team. Jack enjoys his cappuccino and shot there, Jake an almond latte and Toby an almond cappuccino and shot.
8. The Hungry Monkey, Kiama
In historic seaside spot Kiama, The Hungry Monkey, Kiama serves food seven days a week, with coffee offerings including the piccolo with extra espresso shot favoured by Blake from Curran .
9. The Berry Bakery, Berry
The original Berry Bakery is famous for its pies cakes and breads, but also does a piping hot coffee.
Toby recommends their almond cappuccino with a shot.
Honourable mentions:
The Curran team also gives an honourable mention to roadside options including Luke J’s cappuccino and extra shots at any Maccas restaurant – or Agtash’s favourite, the convenient caffeine boost of a Red Bull from any Seven Eleven store. Karina also prefers the coffee in the Curran office.
