Bidets are no longer a European luxury, Australians are making the switch, and for good reason.
Whether you want a simple bidet seat attachment, a full smart bidet combo, or a standalone ceramic bidet, Curran Specialist Plumbers make the installation straightforward, clean, and affordable.
We service Wollongong, the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, and surrounding NSW areas. Most bidet installations take less than two hours. We handle the plumbing, the connections, the testing, and the cleanup. You just enjoy the upgrade.

Not all bidets are the same. Here is a quick rundown of what Curran installs and what each one involves:
Replaces your existing toilet seat. Connects to the water supply for hot and cold wash functions. One of the most popular and affordable options. Simple water line connection, no tiling required.
Heated seat, warm air dryer, remote control, deodoriser, the full package. Requires a nearby power point. If you don’t have one, our electrical team can install one at the same time.
A full toilet replacement with integrated bidet functionality built in. A complete toilet installation, including waste connection and water supply.
A separate ceramic fixture positioned beside the toilet. Traditional in style and highly effective. Requires a waste drain and water supply connection, we assess your bathroom and quote upfront.
A T-valve and hose attached to the toilet cistern. Budget-friendly, fast to install, and surprisingly effective.

Yes. Under the NSW Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011, any work involving water supply or drainage connections must be carried out by a licensed plumber. That includes bidet seats connected to the water supply and standalone bidets. DIY plumbing is illegal, unsafe, and can void your home insurance. All Curran plumbers are fully licensed.
Electronic smart bidets require a nearby safety (RCD-protected) outlet. If you don’t have one, our team can arrange a licensed electrician from our electrical division to install one at the same time: one booking, two trades sorted.
Most bidet seats and attachments fit standard round and elongated Australian toilet bowls. Standalone bidets require space and existing or new waste connections. We will assess your bathroom during booking and confirm compatibility before arriving.
A bidet seat or attachment typically takes 30 to 90 minutes. A standalone bidet or toilet bidet combo may take longer, depending on drain and water connection requirements. We will give you a realistic timeframe when you book.
Yes. We can supply and install a range of bidet units, or install a unit you have already purchased. If you would like recommendations, our team can advise on the best option for your bathroom, budget, and lifestyle.
