UV pipe relining is a trenchless pipe repair method that uses ultraviolet light to cure a resin-saturated liner inside your existing pipe. Unlike conventional relining methods that rely on steam heat or ambient air curing, UV curing is faster, more controlled, and produces a harder, more durable result.

UV pipe relining follows a precise five-step process from inspection to completion.
Step 1: Before any work begins, our team runs a CCTV drain inspection through your pipe to assess the damage, confirm pipe dimensions and identify any blockages or debris that need to be cleared first.
Step 2: The pipe is thoroughly cleaned using high-pressure water jetting to remove buildup, scale or root matter. A clean surface is essential for the liner to bond correctly.
Step 3:Â A fibreglass-reinforced liner saturated with UV-sensitive resin is inserted into the damaged section of pipe and inflated to press firmly against the pipe walls.
Step 4: A UV light train is pulled through the liner at a controlled speed. The UV light triggers the resin to cure rapidly from the inside out, creating a hard, jointless pipe within the original host pipe.
Step 5: A CCTV camera is run through the newly lined pipe to confirm a full, even cure with no voids or defects before the job is signed off.
UV relining and conventional steam or ambient-cured CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) relining are both no-dig methods. The key differences come down to speed, precision and liner performance.
